Audio Conversations
Below you will find 20 audio conversations in Spanish. Each practices the important information you have learned previously in the corresponding video lesson. Written transcripts are provided below. Please don’t go straight to the transcripts. Listen to the conversations a few times without checking the transcripts. Your listening skills are the most important and typically the hardest to develop. It is really important that you get used to listening to people talking Spanish without transcripts to help you out as these, of course, aren’t available in real conversations. Even if you find it tough, do your best to be relaxed when listening and be content with understanding the general idea of what is being said. Don’t worry if you don’t understand every word and rest assured that it is only a matter of time before things become clearer.

Written Texts
Below you will find 10 written texts in Spanish. Each practices the important information you have learned previously in the corresponding video lesson. English translations are provided below. Please don’t look at the translation until you have read the Spanish text at least once. There may be some words and phrases in the text that you are unfamiliar with, but you should be aiming to capture the main essence of what is happening. There will always be words and phrases popping up in real-life situations that you have never heard before, so it is important never to get too distracted by details. If you want to investigate some of the words or structures you are unsure about, please do, but it is advisable not to refer to a dictionary or any notes until you have read the text at least once.
